Taking a Comprehensive Rehabilitation Approach

Shore Rehabilitation Services provides a broad range of comprehensive rehabilitation, pain management and health enhancement services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Services are provided by an exceptional and a highly specialized team including board certified physicians in neurology and rehabilitation medicine, rehabilitation nursing, pain management nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and psycho therapy.

The Requard Center for Acute Rehabilitation serves as the "core" of a rehabilitation network which includes rehabilitation services within our two acute care hospitals and in outpatient programs provided in our Easton, Cambridge, Denton and Queenstown rehabilitation centers. This is further complemented by our Balance Center, the Shore Health Pain Management Center, the Center for Integrative Medicine and the Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center at The Orthopedic Center.

We hold advanced training and professional development in high regard, and take great pride in our many specialty certified physicians, nurses and therapists. Services are accredited overall by the Joint Commission. Inpatient rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and our nurses are Magnet recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). We aspire to best practice and participate with both inpatient and outpatient national outcomes measuring organizations in clinical care and patient satisfaction.

Shore Rehabilitation Services participates as a member of the University of Maryland Rehabilitation Institute which includes the rehabilitation programs and services at the University of Maryland Medical Center, the Kernan Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Civista Medical Center, Maryland General Hospital, Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital and Upper Chesapeake Health System.
