Pediatrics
The staff of the Pediatric Unit at Shore Health System do our best to help your child get well. We understand that being in the hospital can be a stressful time for you and your child. With that in mind, our caring, experienced team works together to ensure that your child's hospital stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We encourage you to stay with your child during his/her hospitalization and to actively participate in your child's care.
Safety
For your peace of mind, please be assured that we provide additional security in the Pedatric Unit including 24-hour camera surveillance. For your child's welfare and that of the other children in our care, please check with the nurse before you and your child leave his/her room.
Staying Over
Wel will attempt to make your child and you as comfortable as possible during the hospital stay. If you wish to stay overnight with your child, we provide sleep chairs for your convenience.
Personal Belongings
You may want to bring your child's own pajamas, underwear, robe, socks, slippers, and personal items from home. Please mark all items for easy identification.
Visiting Hours
Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult visitor and supervised at all times. Visiting hours are 12:00 noon to 8:00pm. 24 hour visitation is limited to one parent or guardian.
