The Dorchester General Hospital offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient care in Cambridge. The 66 acute-bed facility provides a long tradition of personalized involvement with generations of local families. Board-certified physicians and state-of-the-art equipment, the facility provides acute hospital and emergency care, supported by a network of outpatient services and primary care physicians in the community. Shore Behavioral Health Services provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse programs on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Also located at the hospital is the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, part of the Cardio-Pulmonary Services Department.
